From the CEO
It's an exciting time to be part of Buckhead, and I am energized every day by the work happening across our district to make it an even better place to live, work and visit.
These first months leading the Buckhead CID have given me an up-close look at the meaningful work underway. One highlight has been witnessing the progress on the Wieuca Road roundabout and the Lenox Road Complete and Safe Street project, including the completion of the Lenox Boardwalk, which is already connecting residents, shoppers and visitors in new ways. Seeing those kinds of investment come to life reinforces just how much this community is committed to building something lasting.
I’ve also been thrilled to learn more about the BCID’s investments in public safety and to see how they are contributing to a steadily declining crime rate in our community. This year Buckhead’s Zone 2 has the least crime of any area in Atlanta, building on a five-year decline in crime that is a testament to the outstanding work of the Atlanta Police Department, the Atlanta Police Foundation, and active engagement from numerous neighborhood and civic groups as well.
That spirit of investment and collaboration is exactly what drew me to this work. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that Jim Durrett and the entire CID team have established, and to working alongside our partners as we plan for Buckhead's future together.
— Katharine Kelley, CEO, Buckhead Community Improvement District

Buckhead's Five-Year Public Safety Progress:
A Community Success Story
Buckhead's momentum keeps building. APD Zone 2 has reported five straight years of crime reduction -- a 27% overall decline from 2020 to 2025, including multiple years of double-digit decreases -- reinforcing Buckhead's position as a safe, thriving hub for business, entertainment and residential growth.
These results reflect a coordinated, community-wide commitment backed by significant Buckhead CID investment. Over the past five years, the CID has funded 37,500 hours of supplemental vehicle patrols by off-duty APD officers, 41,600 hours of bike patrols, and 50,000 hours of traffic control while supporting a housing subsidy program that has helped retain 28 APD officers living and working in the Buckhead community.
A safer Buckhead is a stronger Buckhead. We are deeply grateful to our law enforcement partners for their dedicated service, and we remain committed to the investments that are making a measurable difference for our businesses, residents and visitors.

Buckhead CID Leaders Honored by North Buckhead Civic Association
The North Buckhead Civic Association (NBCA) recently recognized two longtime champions of the Buckhead community. Former Buckhead CID executive director Jim Durrett and former District 7 Councilmember Howard Shook each received awards honoring their years of contributions to the community. Adding a meaningful touch, the glass awards were mounted on granite remnants sourced from the new Wieuca Road roundabout park -- a fitting tribute that ties their legacy directly to the infrastructure improvements they helped make possible.
The park (which you can see in the project update below) will be formally named in Councilmember Shook's honor later this year.

Lenox Boardwalk Nearing Completion
The Lenox Boardwalk -- Section I of the Buckhead CID's Lenox Road Complete Safe Street project -- is in its final weeks of construction. The .44-mile urban linear park runs along Lenox Road from the Lenox MARTA Station at East Paces Ferry Road to Peachtree Road, featuring a new shared-use path and boardwalk, updated traffic signal mast arms and enhanced pedestrian lighting.
Paving and final striping are complete, with lighting and landscaping to be finished by June 12.

| | Wieuca Road Project Approaching Finish Line
| |
| One of the Buckhead CID's most significant infrastructure investments is nearly complete. The .32-mile Wieuca Road corridor from Peachtree Road to Old Ivy Road -- anchored by a new roundabout at Phipps Boulevard -- is on track for a May 31 completion. The project also includes a new traffic signal at Old Ivy Road, dedicated dual-direction protected bike lanes, a wide side path, pedestrian lighting and native landscaping.
Milestones are coming fast: the new traffic signal at Old Ivy went live April 29 and will transition to normal operations on May 21, with the adjacent slip lane now open. Bike lane paving is underway, lighting will be operational by May 15 and final striping will complete the picture by month's end.

| Buckhead's Office Market is Outperforming the Metro -- By a Wide Margin
The numbers confirm what the Buckhead CID has long championed: Buckhead is Atlanta's premier destination for business.
Class A rents reached $41.40 per square foot in Q4 2025 -- crossing the $40/SF threshold for the first time and posting 7.5% year-over-year growth, the strongest of any Atlanta submarket. Buckhead recorded 1.3 million square feet of total leasing in 2025, with major renewals from firms like Greenberg Traurig and CoStar anchoring top properties.
Most striking: Buckhead's premium buildings generated nearly 309,000 square feet of net absorption -- roughly five times Metro Atlanta's total occupancy gains for the entire year.
With a constrained development pipeline and sustained demand for top-tier space, the investments the CID has made in safety, streetscapes, and placemaking are clearly paying dividends for Buckhead's business community.
