Families with young children will love this virtual Passover workshop with PJ Library author and illustrator Alan Silberberg. He will premiere his hilarious new book, Meet the Matzah, and teach a doodling class to explore the foods and symbolism of Passover. Order a kit to have more fun Passover projects at home. GLOE – GLBTQ Outreach & Engagement at EDCJCC, Human Rights Campaign’s Religion & Faith program, Embassy of Israel, and Bet Mishpachah Congregation
Join GLOE and Rabbi Jake Singer-Beilin for the 13th Annual National Rainbow Seder to celebrate Passover through an LGBTQ lens. The Seder is one of the nation’s largest and longest-running Passover seders for the queer Jewish community and its allies. This year’s event will be virtual, with the theme of “Renewal & Resilience: A Journey Toward Liberation.”

Yad Yehuda of Greater Washington
Yad Yehuda facilitates a Kosher USDA Summer Food Service Program distributing FREE food boxes for children 18 and under every Wednesday night at Northwood High School. The distributions on March 24th and March 31th will contain Kosher for Passover foods. Sign-up opens on March 18th and closes on March 22nd at 10:00 PM. Sign up today

| | Provide Feedback to Close Montgomery Public Schools: Don’t Start the School Year on Rosh Hashanah
Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC)
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) has developed two draft calendar scenarios for the upcoming school year. One calendar option features a school start date of August 30th. The other begins on September 8th, the second day of Rosh Hashanah. This scheduling conflict on the critical first day of school would present a particular burden to staff and students, both Jewish and non-Jewish alike. MCPS is seeking community feedback on these draft calendars, and we encourage you to make your voice heard. Learn more and act now
