Model United Nations ConferenceOur Middle School Model UN team of 32 eighth graders is currently at the National Model United Nations Conference at the College of William and Mary. The Model UN conference experience emphasizes research, public speaking, teamwork, and diplomacy and we are excited our students are participating in this engaging academic opportunity.

Spring Break
A friendly reminder that St. Michael's spring break is March 5-9. The break begins with an early dismissal on Friday, March 2 (11:45 a.m. -Middle School, Noon - Lower School.) Our Lower School Extended Day program will be open from noon- 6 p.m. on Friday, March 2. Contact Allyson Steele if you need childcare. Also, please pack a bag lunch for your child.

Updated Key Dates for the 2018-2019 School Year (Tentative)
- August 23 – Lower School “Meet Your Teacher & Meet Your School” Day (We strongly recommend that families attend to orient students and themselves to the new building and carpool procedures)
- August 27- Lower School First Day of School (half day)
- August 27 – Middle School Orientation
- August 28 – First Full Day of School (all students)
- December 19 – Christmas Break Begins at Noon (NOTE: THIS IS A DATE CHANGE!)
- January 3, 2019 – Classes Resume
- March 8, 2019 – Spring Break Begins at Noon
- March 18, 2019 – Classes Resume
- June 6, 2019 – Graduation
Please note that while our Lower School construction is currently on schedule, these dates are TENTATIVE until later this spring when we have confirmation that the new Lower School building will be ready as planned. Thank you for your understanding.

MS Spring LAX Start Dates
Middle School Spring lacrosse practices start THIS WEEK as follows: - Girls' Lacrosse: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 3-4:30 p.m.
- Boys' Lacrosse: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 4:30-6 p.m.
NOTE: Spring practices for GOLF and TRACK will begin after spring break.

We love that our Dragons are avid readers, but we are noticing our library collection is getting smaller as books are not being returned. Thanks for checking in backpacks and under beds for any books that need to be returned.
