A&M–San Antonio women’s basketball will face the University of Texas at San Antonio in an exhibition matchup.
This will be the first time the two San Antonio programs meet on the court.

| Battle of the Big Cats: Soccer Matches Thursday |
Texas A&M University–San Antonio and Texas A&M University–Victoria have begun a spirited rivalry within the Texas A&M University System, officially branded the Battle of the Big Cats.
The series continues with a soccer doubleheader on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the A&M–San Antonio Soccer Field.

| October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month |
In recognition of National Domestic Violence Month, A&M- San Antonio will be lighting up the CAB dome purple to support all domestic violence victims and survivors. Across the nation, a purple porch light is meant to raise awareness about domestic violence and offer support for those looking to escape a dangerous domestic situation.

Texas A&M University–San Antonio serves as an early voting and Election Day polling site for the upcoming election.
Any registered Bexar County voter can cast their ballot on campus at the Mays Center, Science and Technology Building, Suite 111.

| Panel: Linguistic Justice and Indigenous Language Revitalization
|
During this panel discussion, two scholars will explore language revitalization efforts in distinct indigenous nations, illustrating how these initiatives inform communication, culture, art and education while outlining pathways for support.
Ānua Reyes will discuss the role of Indigenous linguists, the decolonial methodologies applied to Pajalate and Native American sign language, and the rejection of colonial frameworks.
Dr. Kathryn Vomero Santos, drawing from Shakespeare in Tongues, will focus on multilingual counternarratives, the impacts of federal Indian boarding schools, indigenous revitalization efforts, border militarization, and struggles over ethnic studies in classrooms.

A&M-San Antonio Women’s Basketball to Face UTSA in Exhibition Match |
The Texas A&M University–San Antonio women’s basketball team will make history as they face NCAA Division I opponent UTSA in an exhibition matchup on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Convocation Center. Coming off a strong 18-12 season, the Jaguars aim to showcase their growth and talent, led by standout guards Evelyn Lorenzo and Natalia Treviño. This first-ever meeting between the two San Antonio state universities highlights the rising profile of women’s basketball in the Alamo City.

| Men’s Golf Secures Program’s First Tournament Victory |
The University's men’s golf team earned its first-ever tournament win at the Chicken Express Classic on October 13, highlighted by record-breaking rounds from Kyle Mahan, Aden Morales, and Loris Bonnetton Alban. After tying with host Wayland Baptist, the Jaguars secured victory in a dramatic one-hole tiebreaker, The team now looks ahead to the LSU–Alexandria Fall Invitational on October 27.
