Watch a Very Special Message from President Collins as he Shares Highlights from the Year of Faith! |
From the revamping Campus Ministry efforts to hosting faith-filled thought leaders — and exemplifying faith in action through our academic and athletic achievements — the 2025–2026 academic year was a powerful reminder of what it means to be a community grounded in faith. As we conclude the Year of Faith, let us remember that faith will always be at the heart of Walsh University — guiding us as we develop leaders who serve others.
We are delighted to announce that next year will be the Year of Excellence! This Year of Excellence is year three of a five-year effort focusing on each of Walsh’s five core values. Keep a look out for more information on 2026–27 the Year of Excellence!

Walsh University Featured on National Drug Discovery Platform for Cutting-Edge Analytical Chemistry Research |
Walsh University's Dr. Michael Dunphy was recently featured on Shaping Science*, a video series produced by Drug Discovery News that spotlights researchers advancing science, technology, and innovation. In the episode, Dr. Dunphy — Professor of Biochemistry and Vice President for Academic Affairs — discusses how analytical chemistry supports therapeutic research, advances biomedical applications, and prepares the next generation of scientists. The conversation shines a light on the work being done in Walsh University's Center for Scientific Excellence (CSE), Walsh’s state-of-the-art on-campus research lab. This cutting-edge facility is made possible in part through our long-standing partnership with Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, who was on campus this week to explore expanded collaborative opportunities that will give Walsh University students even greater access to hands-on, real-world research experiences.

Walsh Students Experience History of WWII In-Person Through New Study Abroad Course |
This past May, Professor Megan Pellegrino led a group of students through a newly created study abroad course in England, designed to immerse them in the history of WWII and the civilian experience of the Blitz. By moving the classroom directly to evocative historical sites like the Imperial War Museum, St. Paul's Cathedral, Bletchley Park and the Ramsgate Tunnels, the program allowed a diverse, multi-disciplinary student body to connect intimately with the past, transforming textbook history into a tangible human narrative. The experiential journey profoundly impacted the students, not only sharpening their critical thinking and historical perspective, but also fostering a powerful sense of global citizenship as they walked the very paths where history was made.
