Good morning! More than 1,000 students will earn degrees from Clemson during Summer Commencement next week. Assistant professor Lela Lackey shares the importance of RNA; Instructors should review the Fall 2026 undergraduate class regulations.

What to know today:

Approximately 1,000 students are set to earn bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at Summer Commencement next week.

Doctoral Commencement is set for 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, followed by Commencement for bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 7. Both ceremonies will take place in Littlejohn Coliseum.

CUPD will conduct ballistic shield training today and tomorrow from noon to 9 p.m. at the former National Dropout Prevention Center, located behind Douthit Hills. Officers will use ballistic shields and simulated gunfire during training. Signage will be placed in the area to alert people to the training.

All University instructors are encouraged to review and save key academic regulations for undergraduate classes. Additional information on academic regulations can be found in the Undergraduate Catalog and Faculty Manual.

Staff Senate invites eligible staff members to request a custom stole to wear during the August 6 and 7 commencement ceremonies. Stoles will be available for pickup at the Staff Senate Office in Sirrine Hall (Room 228).
