Support the Annual Fund!

With our dedicated students, families, alumni, grandparents, past parents, faculty and staff, St. Michael’s embodies the model of a strong community. We readily join together to provide our students with exemplary academic, athletic and co-curricular experiences, supported by an environment rich with enduring tradition and Christian values. Of course, this is why we send our children to St. Michael’s!

Our children spend most of their waking hours in the hands of an outstanding faculty and staff under the cover of the facilities of our two beautiful campuses. Our children thrive and are supremely prepared when they leave the classroom to embark on their high school journeys.  Shouldn’t St. Michael’s be at the top of our list when we choose where to make our annual philanthropic contributions?

We all have budgets requiring us to make informed decisions in allocating our financial resources. As St. Michael’s families, let’s make a commitment to support the fiscal health of our School. This ensures our children will continue to enjoy all of the distinct benefits that St. Michael’s has to offer this year and for those to come.  Click here for the online giving link.

Thank you in advance for your support in helping us to meet our Annual Fund Goal this year!

Get Ready for The Hour of Code!
St. Michael's will be participating again this week in the Global Hour of Code!
While St M incorporates computer coding into our technology curriculum year round, this week is a united global effort to have every student code for an hour.
Considered the largest global learning event in history, the Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. There are currently 148,323 Hour of Code events planned around the world that are designed to demystify code and show that anybody (even Kindergarteners!) can learn the basics.  Understanding coding helps nurture creativity and problem-solving skills and prepares students for 21st-century careers.
Lower School Noon Dismissal on Wednesday

The SMPA is selling Book Fair Gift Cards that can be redeemed during the St M Book Fair on January 26-28.  Gift cards can be purchased December 6- December 17. Click here for more information.
We have a Winner!
The St. Michael's Fruit and Vegetable Challenge concluded on Friday, November 20th.  A total of 2,462 servings of fruits or vegetables were consumed by our Lower School students and teachers and recorded on sticky notes in the gym.  The average fruit consumption during the 14-day competition was 9.72 servings of fruit per student.
The winner of the fruit and vegetable challenge is the THIRD GRADE class!  They will receive an extra day of PE in January along with a fruit celebration party.  Congratulations third graders!!
Missing Anything?
Our Lost and Found pile is quite large. Please stop in to retrieve lost items before the holiday break.
The Lower School Lost and Found is in the SMPA Room and in the Gym. The Middle School Lost and Found is in the Front Office and in the Gym. Thank you!
"It's the most... contagious... season of all."

Winter means falling snow, fuzzy sweaters and hot chocolate. Winter unfortunately also means the season of swapping germs.

Please remember to St. Michael’s School strives to prevent the spread of contagious diseases and to keep students healthy and safe. Students who appear to be ill with possible infectious conditions are isolated and parents are notified. Students must be fever free with no medication for 24 hours before returning to school.

If your child is absent with a contagious condition, please notify the School so that we may be aware of symptoms which could appear in other children.

The Littlest Reindeer
The North Pole crew was putting the final touches on Santa's sleigh when who should appear but the Littlest Reindeer! All the elves and the other reindeer laughed at him and told him to get out of the way, but he came to the rescue when Santa got stuck in a too-small chimney.
Ms. Somerville's class presented this heartwarming musical on Friday about discovering the special gifts inside each of us. It sure put us in the Christmas spirit! Applause! (BIG thanks to all who helped with the set, costumes, learning lines, music and more!) Photo credit: Casey Templeton
