On Monday, November 10th, 2025, the Department of Campus Safety received a report of a robbery that occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m., on West 3rd Street, between Broadway and Mercer Street, in Manhattan.
The victim, an NYU student, was walking west on West 3rd Street towards Mercer Street when two unknown individuals described as approximately 5'11" in height, with dark complexions, and wearing all black clothing, approached the victim. The suspects stated that they were taking the victim’s jacket, then threw the victim to the ground, and took the jacket.
The suspects fled east on West 3rd Street then turned right on Broadway toward Bleecker Street.
The victim reported no physical injuries that required medical attention and was offered supportive resources. The robbery was reported to the NYPD.
