2015 Book Collections Now Available
Title lists and pricing for the 2015 book collections are now available. MUSE is excited to offer three new collections in 2015 in addition to the Complete, Subject and Area studies collections offered. The three new 2015 collections are: 
  • Karl Marx and Frederick Engels: Collected Works (see below)
  • Middle Eastern Studies
  • Psychology
Preliminary title lists for all collections are available for download and represent the initial book offerings from the UPCC publishers, including the three new publishers for 2015: Association for Scottish Literary Studies; Lawrence & Wishart; Princeton University Press. The title lists will continue to update as more information becomes available.
Libraries interested in exploring the various MUSE/UPCC book collections are encouraged to complete a quote request. A MUSE sales representative will follow up with you to help determine the collections that best meet your curriculum and budget requirements.

Karl Marx and Frederick Engels: Collected Works
This definitive English language edition of the Collected Works, published between 1975 and 2005 and covering 60 years of Marx and Engels writings, including the complete correspondence and newly discovered works, is now available for the first time in electronic format.
Marx and Engels Collected Works is available exclusively on Project MUSE. The complete 50-volume set is accessible and searchable on the MUSE platform.  For details about purchase options, please contact MUSE Customer Support.
Additional 2015 Journals 
Five more journals have been confirmed for 2015 and join the 11 new journals previously announced in the July newsletter. All new titles are included in the Premium Collection.
See the current list of confirmed new 2015 journals. This page also includes a list of existing journals that will be added in 2015 to the Standard, Basic Research, Basic College, Humanities, and Social Sciences collections.

New Feature!  Frequently Downloaded Content   
Debussy, Hindi film songs, The Clash, Hip-Hop Culture. How are they related? They were among the top 10 articles downloaded in April by users researching music on Project MUSE.
Frequently Downloaded Content is a new feature on MUSE that provides a glimpse of the types of content read most often on MUSE. Find the top 10 journal articles or top 10 books downloaded each month. Article and book authors can check to see how often their published piece appears on a list. 
Check out the Frequently Downloaded Content feature and be sure to alert your faculty to it.  Or consider bookmarking the page on your library website and course instruction guides.
Get the Most From MUSE at Your Institution
Ensure that students and faculty at your institution get the most value from your subscription to MUSE content. 
  • Download this checklist (PDF format) that offers suggestions for maximizing MUSE use at your institution
  • Request a supply of the new subject brochures for faculty and graduate student outreach. The brochures highlight new and distinguished journals and books on MUSE in select subjects. Let us know of any subjects to add to the group. Please contact MUSE Customer Support with your suggestions.
COUNTER 4 Compliant Usage Statistics
MUSE statistics are now compliant with Release 4 of the COUNTER Code of Practice. MUSE has provided COUNTER 4 statistics since January. Now, after the successful completion of an audit, MUSE statistics are officially compliant with Release 4 of COUNTER.
Monthly statistics are available for download on the 14th of the month. As a convenience to libraries, MUSE is continuing to provide COUNTER 3 statistics through the end of this year.
Latest Back Issues Added
The following journals recently added back issues. MUSE journal subscribers that currently have access to the following titles now have access to the recently added archival issues:
  • American Book Review (Premium Collection)
  • Studies in American Fiction (Premium, Standard, Basic Research, Basic College, Humanities) Complete run from 1973.
  • Yearbook of the Association of Pacific Coast Geographers (Premium, Standard, Social Sciences) Complete run from 1935
20th Anniversary for Project MUSE!
MUSE will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015!  Look for 20th anniversary celebrations throughout the coming year at major library events.
