Get a Taste of Trivia During Apple Month
Since October is National Apple Month, perhaps it's time to host a Gala, play some Jazz, and invite Granny Smith, Jonathan, and Pink Lady to join the fun. According to the U.S. Apple Association, the average American consumes roughly 19 pounds of apples per year. Here's some other trivia about this popular fruit: Washington State produces 70 percent of the apples in our country. The only native apple to North America is the crabapple, first cited in Boston in 1625. It takes around 36 apples to produce one gallon of cider. |
