Supporting the Sidelined Athlete
NATA has established a partnership with Sidelined USA, a nonprofit organization that supports athletes who have been permanently sidelined due to career-ending injury, health condition, or repeat concussion and inspires them to find a meaningful way forward. Sidelined USA supports these athletes with resources, connection and mentorship opportunities. NATA members who want to become involved can volunteer as mentors and ambassadors.

Five Days Left to Submit Honors and Awards Nominations
If you are planning to submit a nomination for NATA Honors and Awards this is the last week to do so. The nomination deadline is Sept. 15. Also, take note of an additional requirement this year. Nominators are now required to provide a statement on their candidate’s impact on the profession and suitability for an award. All application and support materials are due Oct. 1.

ATEC Registration Open
Registration is now open for NATA's Athletic Training Educator's Conference (ATEC), the premier conference for educators, program directors, preceptors and clinical coordinators. ATEC will offer six plenary and 10 breakout sessions. Other highlights include a welcome reception, peer-to-peer discussions, poster presentations, a model practice showcase featuring quick presentations and the Distinguished Athletic Training Educator Luncheon. ATEC will be held Feb. 15-17 at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas.
