The College recently hosted its first installment in The Power of Leadership: A Signature Speaker Series. This series focuses on bringing seasoned business leaders to Clemson to engage with business students, faculty and staff. The first speaker in the leadership series was Walt Bettinger II, retired CEO and co-chair of the board of directors for Charles Schwab, one of the world's largest financial institutions.

John E. Walker Department hosts workshop on modern econometric methods
This spring, the John E. Walker Department of Economics organized and hosted a two-day workshop on empirical methods in social science research. This workshop brought together some of the world's most highly cited applied statisticians and econometricians. Their research, focused on causal inference, has helped reshape how social scientists analyze data.

For the past two years, the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business has organized a Research Seminar Series that features business research and allows research faculty to share their findings with other business faculty and the broader Clemson academic community. This year, 12 different seminars took place, each addressing a critical topic in business research, including sustainability, cybersecurity and more.

Three students win at the third annual Powers Pitch Competition
The third annual Powers Pitch Competition occurred this spring at the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business. Organized by the Department of Management, the competition allows student entrepreneurs to pitch their business ventures. Students had to complete several steps to qualify and compete in the competition.

Lyceum Scholars compete in National Business Ethics competition
In early April, a team of four Lyceum Scholars and their faculty mentor traveled to Denver, Colorado, to compete in the semifinal round of the Daniels Fund National Ethics Case Competition. The team was one of 20 undergraduate and graduate teams selected from a field of 83 to compete in person in Denver.

Army & Air Force Joint Commissioning Ceremony
Clemson University's Army and Air Force ROTC units will hold a joint ceremony to commission 37 Second Lieutenants at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Tillman Auditorium. Following the commissioning ceremony, the newly appointed lieutenants will participate in a Silver Dollar Salute on Clemson University's Military Heritage Plaza.

Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremonies
The Spring Doctoral Commencement will be held May 6, 2025, at 3 p.m. in Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum. The spring master's and bachelor's graduation ceremonies will take place May 8-9 and will also be held in Littlejohn Coliseum, including a live stream on ClemsonTV.
