If you became suddenly rich, what would you do? With whom would you share
Desperate times call for desperate measures. As four lepers starved to death during a siege, they decided to turn themselves in to the enemy army surrounding the city. After all, they had nothing to lose. They reasoned that they would die either way. Maybe their enemies would feed them.
Imagine their surprise! The enemies fled in a hurry and left behind all their stuff and food. The lepers were suddenly wealthy. They started hoarding and hiding their newfound bounty.
But somebody had a conscience. "What we are doing is not good!"
Moving from conviction to action, the lepers told the gatekeeper. A starving city was saved because the lepers shared what they found.
We are all beggars who have found the Bread of life, Jesus. We are suddenly blessed with abundant life. Will we share it with others or try to keep it to ourselves. What about our stuff? Will we share?
