Clemson University ranks as the best national and public university in South Carolina in the U.S. News & World Report 2026 rankings, coming in at No. 36 among all public universities — climbing three spots from last year. Clemson also claims top 25 rankings among public schools nationally for Co-Ops/Internships (No. 4), First-Year Experience (No. 9), Most Innovative Schools (No. 14) and Best Undergraduate Teaching (No. 22).

Nationally recognized researcher J. Kessa Roberts joined the Clemson University College of Education faculty this fall, bringing with her an extensive background in rural education research.

CLEMSON UNIVERSITY PRESS ANNIVERSARY

The Clemson University Press will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a reception on Thursday, October 2, at 5 p.m. in the Cooper Library Byrnes Room (401). The Press has grown steadily since its founding, now publishing 25 to 30 books and journals per year with a backlist of more than 100 titles including poetry, history and children’s literature. Registration for the event is now available.
