“There are years that ask questions and years that answer.”
― Zora Neale Hurston, Their Eyes Were Watching God
If there was ever a year that asked questions, it is this one.
That's one of the reasons we have made it our strategic mission this year to listen, ask questions, and then listen again. We are dedicated to creating content and supporting healing practices that not only meet our collective thirst for beauty, stillness, story and connection, but also to find the right channel, or bandwidth, to meet this need equitably, to meet YOU where YOU are.
♥ We've created a broader set of resources, including video, for our core Mindful Music Moments program to better meet the needs of our COVID-itinerant learners. We've partnered with UC Health Integrative Medicine on a wellness TV channel for patients who might find ease and connection via music, meditation (and even Fiona!) while spending more isolated time in their hospital rooms due to COVID protocols.
♥ We've leaned in and listened to the Beard sisters in our first podcast production, The Three Sisters. We think you will understand exactly why we did so as soon as you find time to listen.
♥ We also came to understand that our own task-oriented work practice (I love a to-do list!) might be narrowly informing our growth so we now begin our week with a Monday morning ritual of strategic meditation practice. We inspire ourselves with a reading from a wise teacher, a 15-minute meditation, five minutes of writing, and then prompted reflection about how that meets us personally and professionally. We begin our week thinking about who needs love, and what of our programs needs nourishment. We are opening up our process on November 23rd from 9 -10:30 am ET for those who would like to join us!
As always, we are listening. If you wish to tell us a story we need to hear or have an idea that would help you, please let us know.
In health and harmony,
