Oh, hello spring

Thanks for the preview you gave us this week. Warm temps and April-like rains brought the sweet realization that spring is just around the corner. Excitement abounds as we look forward to a slew of new and exciting ILR opportunities, everything from bus trips and tours to a whole host of great virtual, hybrid, and in-person classes.
Psst. Here's another preview for you, a sneak peek of our catalog. You'll also find that our website has now been updated with our spring curriculum. You're welcome.
ILR registration opens on March 1st at 9 am. Get your trigger finger ready!
Catalogs will be delivered next week. If you previously participated in ILR or requested our catalog within the past three years, you're already on our mailing list. Not yet on our mailing list? Request a catalog here.

Worth crowing about

We love to hear how we're doingfigured you would, too!
“The ILR program has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my move from Columbus. The courses are well chosen, and the format which now includes virtual attendance has made it possible for me to pursue interests and be introduced to many new ones.” ~ Eleanor Wagner, Mason, OH (fall 2022)
“The hybrid format allows those of us who can only attend virtually a chance to participate fully in ILR courses.” ~ Nancy Arthur, Portland, OR (fall 2022)
“ILR is a fantastic way to keep our minds active by learning and sharing new findings with other adult learners.” ~ Sharon Chapman, Pawleys Island, SC (fall 2022)
“I love the variety of subjects - I am always looking for courses that are practical for our age group and challenge our thinking.” ~ Marcie Seidel, Columbus, OH (fall 2022)
“I was astonished at how carefully and professionally the hosts of each course were prepared. Don't take an ILR course unless you really want to learn something.” ~ Judith Kolbas, Oxford, OH (fall 2022)

All a board
Looking to take a deeper dive into the inner workings of ILR? The Board of Directors is accepting nominations and self-nominations to fill its open seats later this spring. Ours is a working advisory board, and members attend four meetings yearly and serve on one standing committee. Terms are three years, renewable once. Help drive our success by completing our volunteer form for this or any other committee interest.

Be the difference

When ILR toured Matthew 25: Ministries last fall, we learned that volunteers play an essential role in the organization's work. Sound familiar? Join us as we gather as a group to bring hope to the poor in an ILR volunteer session on Friday, March 24, 9:30am–noon. See catalog, pg. 8 for further details.

Generous thanks

ILR continues to deliver on its mission due to the generous support of our many individual donors and businesses who offer their financial support as sponsors or advertisers. We proudly announce that Berkeley Square will once again be sponsoring ILR's spring semester and hosting a tour of their beautiful community for our members and non-members (see catalog, pg. 8 for further details). Tour sign-ups will take place during ILR's normal semester registration.
Since 1997, we have focused on making a positive difference in the lives of the lifelong learners of our community. We thank our supporters for trusting that we are fulfilling our mission.
