2024 W-2s Now Available in UCPath Online
|
Current employees can now access their W-2 in UCPath online by logging in > select Employee Actions > Income and Taxes > View Online W-2/W-2C. A Chrome or Firefox browser is recommended when downloading the W-2 form.
Security Note: The University of California does not send W-2 statements by email or text. Emails or texts with links or attachments to view W-2 forms are phishing scams designed to gain private information. Do not open attachments or click email links claiming to provide access to your W-2.

Now Live: Expansion of Paid Sick Leave
|
- Policy Changes: The University of California’s leave policies for staff and academic personnel have been revised to:

Expand eligibility for paid sick leave to include part-time employees
- Expand the reasons for which employees may use paid sick leave
- Provide “protection” for use up to 6 days (prorated by appointment) of paid sick leave for a qualifying reason
- Extend reinstatement period for re-employment after separation

Timekeeping Changes: Employees will now see the following paid protected sick leave options in their timekeeping systems:
- Ecotime and TOPS: Sick Leave - Protected
- Kronos: Protected Sick Leave

The recording and slide deck from the Expanded Paid Sick Leave Topic Based Zoom held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 will be posted on the HR Network Blink page once available.

DCP & 2025 FICA Adjustment Schedule
|
In July 2024, UCPath Center informed locations of a system error that resulted in missed deductions of federally mandated payroll taxes when employees made the transition from student to non-student employment. UCPath Center has completed adjustments in October and November 2024 for employees who had Social Security and Medicare impacts for years 2021 and 2024. Adjustments for the remaining periods (2022 and 2023 for Social Security and Medicare, and 2021 through 2024 for Medicare-only) will be processed according to the Adjustments Processing Schedule.

Local News: Upcoming Projects & More |

July 2025 will mark the launch of two projects in the UCPath system: Improve Self-Service and the Annual UCPath Upgrade.
|

The Improve Self-Service project aims to improve the user experience for both Employee and Manager Self-Service portals in UCPath by leveraging new Fluid functionality. Features of this project include a mobile-friendly layout, accessibility improvements, and modernized benefits enrollment.

The Annual UCPath Upgrade will update the UCPath system from PUM 47 to the latest Oracle PeopleSoft HCM software, PUM 49.
|
The Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) team is currently upgrading the Cognos environments to Cognos 12.0.4. This is a multi-week process that precludes the BIA team from migrating any changes to Production. The upgrade will be concluding at the end of this month. Stay tuned for more information!
