Jim Kaplan ’87 and his wife, Julee Kaplan, recently provided a $2.5 million Academic Cornerstone gift to Clemson, establishing the Kaplan Family Scholarship Endowment. The endowment will provide need-based University-wide scholarships to students who are Pickens County residents.

Assistant professor Irene Pericot-Valverde received a career development award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse to investigate whether electronic cigarettes serve as a harm reduction strategy for combustible cigarette use among individuals with opioid use disorder.
