Welcome Miu!

Julia T. from Taft 23 has welcomed Miu from Kobe, Japan into her home for about 4 weeks. This is a program through 4-H. Miu is wanting to learn how we live and help with everyday activities. Her English is okay. She is experiencing many different things during her homestay in America. So far her favorite is all the animals on the farm. Please welcome Miu if you have a chance to see her!!

2023 Foods Revue - Say Cheese

The Paul & Joanna Grahl Memorial 2023 Foods Revue was held on June 20 at Marian University. The theme this year: Say Cheese. Eleven 4-H members of all ages participated in this event; everyone did a great job from finding or creating their recipes to setting their tables. All the dishes were delicious, and all the tables were creative. The judge talked to participants about cooking techniques, ingredients, table settings, and ideas for next year. Aleigh F won best of show with her salad and colorful place setting!
Thank you Cindy Koffman, Lynn Kohlman, Tina Engelhardt, and everyone who help behind the scenes organizing this event, and to all the parents for supporting their children. You made this event possible. The winning vote for next year's theme is Cocoa!

4-H Fall Kick-Off Planning Committee Seeking Help

We are looking for 4-H members and a few volunteers to help plan the 4-H Fall Kick-Off. If interested, please contact Tracy. Planning would consist of picking a theme, helping with decorations, and  facilitating the kick-off. I would like to have one short planning meeting before the kick-off to plan the event.
The date for the kick-off is Wednesday, October 4 at 6:30 pm at the UWO Fond du Lac Campus. I will be reaching out to those who are committed to helping plan this event in the next two weeks to schedule the planning meeting.

Thank You from the 4-H Teen Leaders Association

Thank you for volunteering at the 4-H Teen Leader Food Stand during the Fond du Lac County Fair! The money raised goes toward scholarships, supporting 4-H teens at leadership conferences, promotional efforts, ice cream at achievement night, and other events. Your time and effort are greatly appreciated!
A special thanks to the following clubs: Hands of Friendship, Busy Bees, Armstrong, Brandon Tanagers, Alto All Stars, Helping Hands, and Green Valley.  Several clubs didn’t sign up to help with the Teen Leaders Stand this year, which left a lot of empty shifts to be covered by the Teen Leaders and Agri-business Council. Shifts need 2-4 people. Please consider helping with this stand next year as this is the sole fundraiser for the Teen Leaders Association. This money provides $1500 in scholarships and also funds officer recognition and promotional supplies.
