This month's Activation Update includes new social media resources, a media alert focused on supporting the mental health needs of children and youth in foster care, and important reminders about legislative outreach and feedback opportunities.
You'll also find details on upcoming Public Policy office hours, ways to share your program's stories of impact, and opportunities to help shape the future of the CASA Story campaign. Join Us at the June STAR Zoom on Kinship Licensing
Please join us on June 29 at 12:00pm for our STAR Zoom featuring Kacie Brooks, Director of Kinship, as she walks us through the new kinship licensing guidelines and what they mean for the families we serve. Kacie will cover the importance of licensing, including the support and resources it unlocks for families, and share real-life examples of why starting the licensing process early is so critical to ensuring continued financial support for kinship families. She'll also address courtesy kinship support for children placed out of region and provide clarity on some of the areas still being defined under the new law. This is a timely and relevant topic you won't want to miss!
