Wishing you all good luck in the home stretch of the semester! Below, you will find important information to keep in mind for graduating students and all students. Remember, the Academic Advising Team is always here to help!

Fall Registration begins the week of April 20th. Make sure to review your Enrollment Appointment, found in the Enrollment Dates section on the home page of Albert, for the specific time registration opens for you. There’s also an MSW Registration FAQ for quick registration questions.
The Summer Drop/Add deadline is May 21. Be sure to finalize your Summer schedule by then.

1. Cross-School Registration |
This policy allows students to take social work-related, graduate-level classes at any of NYU’s Schools to fulfill their elective requirements.

Are you interested in studying material not already covered in an existing course at Silver? In that case, students can substitute a three-credit elective or a one-credit elective for either a traditional or research-independent study.

The deadline to withdraw from any Spring 2026 classes is Thursday, April 16th. After this date, you won’t be able to withdraw from a class or take a leave of absence this semester.

Auditing Your Degree Pre-Graduation |
With graduation approaching, you can check if you’re on track to fulfill all of your graduation requirements; this is also known as auditing your degree. You can use your Program Pathway’s Checklist to audit your degree but when in doubt, reach out to your academic advisor.
