Hells Bells
January, 2017
We're 50 years old!!
2017 marks Hells Canyon Preservation Council's 50th year working for Hells Canyon and the incredible region that surrounds it!
Thank you for being a part of our past, present, and future.  Your support and solidarity makes our work possible.  The waters, grasslands, forests, and animals of this national treasure would be different (and not for the better) without YOU supporting their health and future.
We've been doing hard work as an organization to envision our next 50 years, understanding how we, as the only locally-based conservation group in the area, can best leverage our energies to make the biggest impact on the Greater Hells Canyon Region.  This includes some exciting updates to our strategic plan, a new capital campaign, and a rebranding that includes a new website and refresh on our name and logo.  We'll be unveiling these updates piece by piece throughout the year, so keep your eyes peeled, and tell your friends!

Public Lands Giveaway Looms
Congress has laid the groundwork to give away and sell millions of acres of your public lands, including National Parks.  These lands are the American people's heritage, generate hundreds of billions of dollars in revenue for the country each year, and employ over 6.1 million Americans.
Read more here and here.
Now there is a bill introduced to "dispose of" over 3 million acres.  Call your representative and let them know you oppose H.R. 621
As always, HCPC is committed to advocating for our public lands in the Greater Hells Canyon Region, and that they are managed sustainably for a healthy future for ALL living beings.  Please support us in our work.
