The Best Week of Their Lives!
We recently returned from taking 8 kids and 3 leaders to camp at Washington Family Ranch Canyon. It was an amazing week! There were kids from all over Alaska that "came home" to Jesus, as the speaker put it. I asked the the kids to write down a few words of gratitude to all of you who support us to make this possible. Here are a few snippets of their responses:
"Thank you for helping me have the best week of my life. I can't imagine not being able to come. This has helped me so much. More than words can describe."
"It was an amazing time, definitely the best week of my life. It helped me grow in my faith..."
"Thank you so much for one of the best weeks I've ever had! It has been so life changing and I am so thankful for every moment that passed and the new friends I've made."
Two days after our return, we got together and were discussing what our favorite parts were about camp. Everyone had their parts but what they all came back to was that they said that they had never been in a place where they felt like the could be themselves, where everyone was so nice, they made real friends quickly, and there was so much joy in everything. It was like no place they had ever been. That has sounds like "home in Jesus" to me.
