Week of April 8, 2018

We're Moving!

We are excited to share that the Edgar O. Hubbard Lower School (Hubbard Hall) is “under roof”, mechanical (HVAC) is installed, brick is going up and carpet and paint colors are finalized. Our occupancy permit is projected for July 10. Lower School teachers are selecting their “new” classrooms and beginning the packing process in preparation for the move.
The Capital Campaign Committee continues to meet with parents and alumni, as well as grandparents and friends of the School, to share campaign updates and gift opportunities. The Development Office is also working with local foundations to secure additional funding.
Please contact Mary King Coleman, Development Director, or Ned Witthoefft, Campaign Co-Chair, for gift information.

Important Announcements:

Calling All St M Alumni (Age 21+!)

Mark your calendars now for the best ever alumni event, April 26, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Bon Air Campus to share in the School's 60th Anniversary celebration and to say goodbye to where it all began. Invitations are in the mail.

Auction Update

Celebrating the School's 60th Anniversary dressed in 50s style brought a new and refreshing twist to St. Michael's Annual Benefit Auction. Many thanks to all those who worked hard and diligently with decorations, set-up and soliciting businesses for silent auction items.
As always, class projects were the headliners in the Live Auction. Thank you to class project coordinators for artful creations! An increase in corporate and individual sponsorships provided underwriting for the auctioneer, DJ, and mobile bidding. The Auction Committee is pleased to share the net profit of $52,000 for this year's event.

Magic Dragon Day Collections

St M Spirit Wear/Blue Blazers: Please donate your gently worn Spirit Wear and gently used blue blazers.  Drop off in the Lower School SMPA room.
