The fountain is on, residence halls are ready, academic spaces are being prepped and the entire college can’t wait to welcome you back to campus this fall, Red Dragons!
We will be back to some of our favorite events and activities, including our Founder’s Day celebration, movies in the Red Dragon Theatre, in-person weekend entertainment and game nights. The Hunt College Union will be busy with regular hours at Starbucks, the Dragon’s Lair, Student Association office, the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center, the Experiential Learning Center and more. Residence life and student activities staff are working hard to plan programs to help you feel at home, meet friends and reinforce our sense of community. Faculty and staff are planning events and services to help you feel comfortable and confident in the year ahead.
As we prepare to return to a much more traditional campus experience, the health and safety of our campus and surrounding community remain our highest priorites. It will take all of us to ensure we have a safe semester. One way you can help is to check if we have record that you’ve received the COVID-19 vaccine or submit proof of vaccination through the student health portal, or get vaccinated now. Continue to check your email for important updates about plans and procedures for Fall 2021, including guidance being developed on masking (you should pack a few, as some spaces may require them for everyone). You can also check our fall planning webpage for initial information and answers to frequently asked questions.
Last year was hard. But you are resilient, strong and capable. We’re all excited to return, and we are ready, as a community, to work to keep each other safe, support one another and get back to the Red Dragon experience and relationships we love.
Sincerely,
Bernadette Tiapo
Interim Vice President for Student Development and Chief Diversity Officer
