| Update on Ukraine
Though the world’s focus has shifted to Israel and the war with Hamas, Federation and our global partners are still helping Ukrainians as the war with Russia nears two and half years. Fundraising for the Ukraine emergency by Jewish Federations across North America has surpassed $100 million to help 507,000 Ukrainians who remain in the country, including more than 160,000 Jews.

October 7, 2024 marks one year since Hamas launched its attacks on Israel, murdering more than 1,200 people, kidnapping more than 250 others, and drastically changing our world. | Celebrate Jewish Baseball Heritage with Bethesda Big Train
Join the Bethesda Big Train for two nights to celebrate Jewish baseball heritage! On Tuesday, July 16th, come together for dinner and a conversation featuring Team Israel veteran pitcher Shlomo Lipetz and legendary MLB trainer Barry Weinberg, presented by documentary filmmaker Aviva Kempner, followed by a viewing of the MLB All Star Game. On Wednesday, July 17th, cheer on the Big Train as they take on the DC Grays for the Annual Jewish Baseball Heritage Night.
