Quarterly Data Update (FY26 Quarter 3)
During FY2026 Q3, local CASA programs in Texas began serving 1,709 new children with 544 new dedicated volunteers, bringing the year-to-date totals for FY2026 to 16,001 total children served and 6,824 total volunteers, respectively. Since last quarter, the total number of children served has increased by 12% across local CASA programs in Texas. Compared to FY25 Q3, the total number of children served has increased by 3%.Â
Â
Across the state, your increased recruitment efforts were paying off with 550 volunteers beginning pre-service training this quarter, which is an 8% increase compared to FY25 Q3. Also in this quarter, eight CASA programs successfully served 100% of children with a CASA volunteer.

Public Policy Team Update: Thank You, Stephanie, and Welcome, AD!
The Texas CASA Public Policy Team is entering an exciting new chapter. After four years of dedicated service, Public Policy Specialist Stephanie Battaglia will be leaving Texas CASA on August 4 to attend law school at St. Mary's University. We are grateful for her advocacy, leadership, and partnership with local CASA programs throughout two legislative sessions.
Â
At the same time, we're thrilled to welcome AD Tincopa as our new Public Policy Specialist. A former CASA volunteer with experience in public policy and direct service, AD is excited to support the CASA network and advance advocacy efforts across Texas.
Â
Read the full blog post to learn more about Stephanie's next chapter, AD's background, and what this transition means for the Texas CASA Public Policy Team.

New Resource: Community-Based Care & CASA Program Service Area Map
Looking for a quick way to see how Community-Based Care (CBC) regions align with local CASA program service areas? We've created a new statewide map that overlays active CBC regions with the counties served by each local CASA program. This resource can help staff and board members better understand regional partnerships, service areas, and the evolving child welfare landscape across Texas. The map is available in both 8.5Ă—11" and 11Ă—17" printable formats on the Program Portal.
