Last summer, Josh worked on a NASA-funded project to create blowable glass from the moon's own silica-laden soil, with the long-term goal of making inhabitable glass structures on the moon (see NIAC project details here). Separate from NASA, he also created a limited collection of pendants made of high fidelity simulated lunar soil with gold leaf highlights. Several of these unique pendants are available for purchase! Our online shop also now features other new Simpson New Mexico, Corona, Cane, Iridescent, and Dichroic hot glass pendants.
Josh Simpson’s perfume bottles are a quiet adornment for the home: small, luminous sculptures that catch light the way Simpson pendants catch the eye. Each elegant bottle - topped with a lap-ground stopper that traps every molecule of fragrance inside - transforms an everyday object into something collectible: part vessel, part art, mostly treasure.
