The Spring Semester has flown by and is quickly wrapping up. There are a few opportunities to continue to build your brand with the College of Engineering and Computing students and faculty including the Finals Week Study Break, Senior Design Expo, and Alumni and Friends Conference.

FINALS WEEK STUDY BREAK

The Spring Semester Finals Week Study Break for all CEC students will be held on Monday, May 8. This is an opportunity for the students to take a break from their intense finals preparations, gather with CEC friends, and spend a little time thinking about something other than classes. We will be celebrating the end of the Spring Semester and the beginning of summer with ice cream!
We are currently seeking company sponsors for the study break. Sponsors will have their company name and logo prominently displayed before, during, and after the event, and will significantly build their brand with CEC students. Companies have the option to provide swag and handouts that would be available at the Study Break.

CEC SENIOR DESIGN EXPO

2023 Senior Design Expo
Thursday, May 4
5:00-7:00
Millett Hall
Park in the Millett West parking lot.

All are invited to the 2023 CEC Senior Design Expo to learn about the projects that the seniors have been working on for the past two semesters. The seniors are excited to show off their work and you will be inpressed by what they have done.
CEC student teams will have their projects set up and be prepared to talk about the design problem, their design process, and their solution.

ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS

The Miami University student chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) works independently and in association with professional chapters of EWB to develop communities on a local and global scale. EWB supports community-driven development programs worldwide by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders. EWB is currently seeking support for their projects and outreach efforts, as well sponsorship for their Annual Gala. If you would like more information, please contact Matthew Sweet, Corporate Outreach Chair, at sweetmr@miamioh.edu.

ALUMNI & FRIENDS CONFERENCE

The 2023 CEC Alumni & Friends Conference is our annual showcase of some of the best and brightest
alumni and friends of the College. Taking place on Friday, May 5th, this year’s conference is set to
highlight our theme of Unity, Purpose & Collaboration to support the academic, learning, and career endeavors of all 2,000 plus undergraduate students, almost 100 graduate students and over 12,000 living alumni.

There are many options available to support the event and to get in front of both CEC students and alumni. Please contact Colleen Bush at bushc4@miamioh.edu to learn how you can be a part of the Conference.

ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNTIES

Tabling, classroom visits, information sessions
Host an on-campus event for students looking for full-time roles and internships
Living Learning Communities for first year CEC students - Advancing Women in Engineering and Software at Miami (AWESoM) and Guys in Engineering and Computing (GiEC).
