Winter weather warning through Thursday; one department’s approach to anti-racism; IUP Post Office, Co-op Store hours heading into the holidays; and more
Reflecting its new direction of supporting and upholding students’ rights in the disciplinary process, the Office of Student Support and Community Standards (formerly Student Conduct) has installed a mural created by Art and Design students under professor Ivan Fortushniak. The office is in Ruddock Hall, Suite G-37.
The Emergency Management office cautions community members that a winter storm warning is in effect for Indiana County this morning through Thursday at 7:00 a.m. Snow accumulations of 7–12 inches are expected, and travel conditions could be difficult.
Student Affairs in Higher Education shared its recent efforts to foster an anti-racist environment, which included developing a diversity statement, holding workshops, and forming the student-led Racial Justice Advisory Board.
The IUP Post Office will close at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2021. On December 28 and 29, it will be open during limited hours for deliveries and departmental mail pickup only.
Although operating under a new maximum capacity, the store will remain open for in-person business through Tuesday. Its holiday sale continues, with storewide savings of up to 50 percent off, excluding textbooks.
Chuck Oshurak, a ’99 IUP accounting graduate and a partner in the Pittsburgh office of public accounting firm Arnett Carbis Toothman, spoke via Zoom with this student group during its final meeting of the semester.
