THANKS TO YOU AND THE NASHVILLE COMMUNITY, PENCIL finished 2018 on a high note. PENCIL is thrilled about the success so far this school year – only half way through the academic year and we have already provided Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools with over $2.2 million in community investment. We look forward to starting the new year off right by increasing our impact and continuing our mission to help young people acheive academic success and prepare for life. The entire PENCIL organization would like to thank you for helping us to accomplish amazing things for students across Nashville. PENCIL is a passionate group of individuals working to support public education by linking community resources to MNPS, and we are looking to add a Marketing Intern to our team.

PENCIL'S NEWEST FACE

PENCIL is happy to welcome Susan Wade as our new Literacy & Background Check Coordinator! In this part-time role, Susan will be housed at Buena Vista Enhanced Option Elementary School. In Mid-December, the Buena Vista staff gave Susan a warm welcome, including a look at her workspace, a tour of the school, and introductions to staff.

PENCIL Me In is the community investment tracking tool for volunteers who invest time and talent into Metro Nashville Public Schools. Help us capture the great work that is happening in our schools by logging your hours!
