A LOOK BACK AT SUMMER 2018
What an awesome summer it was for the Youth Ministry here at St. Luke’s! The summer began with two amazing mission trips; one to Baton Rouge, LA working with Revive 225, and the other to Asheville, NC working with ReCreation Experiences. Both our High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers had life changing and rewarding experiences on these weeks of missions. We also hosted over 500 “Peace Finders” here for VBS as we searched for the missing peace! Then we spent a week at the Warren Willis Camp for an amazing experience taking their place at “The Table”. From there, the summer was filled with exciting weekly activities, worship, and outings with the leadership of our Summer Intern Cassie Livingston.
Over 30 youth took part in summer missions. 57 youth attended camp at Warren Willis. Over 100 youth, and our amazing Youth Praise Band, helped lead our kids during VBS. Over 50 different youth came and went on our varied events and activities. 10 adults and parents helped lead throughout the summer. All in all, it was a time for fun, a time for service, and a time for spiritual growth. Most importantly, the glory of God worked through St. Luke’s Youth to be part of something huge. Thank you YOUTH for your passion, for learning and trying new things, and for stepping outside the box with us into something more.
