When we think about March at Riverwood, the Ladies Member/Guest Golf Tournament comes to mind and brings back great memories. One of the biggest club events for women, it is a fun and competitive weekend spent with fellow members and guests on the course. And to make more memories, Riverwood held their annual Ladies Member/Guest on March 6 and 7th. Again, this year the tournament was a favourite amongst members, with 84 ladies playing in the tournament. The weekend delivered sun, wind, rain, and some chilly mornings, but despite the weather it was a fantastic weekend that was enjoyed by everyone.
The first day the ladies played a scramble for 9 holes and best 2 of 4 balls on the second 9. Day 2 was a shamble on 9 holes and the always challenging 1-2-3 on 5-4-3.
Boxed breakfasts and lunches were provided on both days. Gil Bricault was onsite Sunday singing for the ladies while they enjoyed a delicious lunch in a ‘Garden’ setting.
Linda Corr was again the mastermind behind the weekend. She did an amazing job organizing the weekend for the ladies. A big thank you to Linda for another memorable weekend. And we have to say thank you to Garrett and team; Colin and team; Bob and his team for all their work behind the scenes.
