This week, several of Greater Washington’s rabbis from a cross section of denominations are in Israel with Federation’s CEO Gil Preuss and Rabbi Sarah Tasman on Federation’s Rabbis Mission to Israel. The group is exploring the diverse, exciting, and sometimes challenging country building a modern, Jewish, democratic state for all its citizens and for the global Jewish community. | Meet Rabbi Sarah Tasman, Federation’s Director of Jewish Journeys and Engagement
A long-time engagement professional in the Jewish communal world, Rabbi Sarah Tasman brings a multitude of experiences and perspectives into her work, integrating creativity, healing, and spiritual practice into her work. A native of Louisville, KY, Rabbi Tasman is making an impact in Jewish Greater Washington and beyond. This week, Rabbi Tasman is traveling alongside Federation CEO, Gil Preuss, and several of Greater Washington’s local rabbis as a leader of Federation’s Rabbis Mission to Israel.

Family Hike, Israeli Style
Federation’s Community Shlichim (Israeli emissaries), Next Gen, and PJ Library
Join us at Little Bennet Regional Park for a self-guided family hike with an Israeli twist! The hike is approximately two miles with stops at “education stations” led by our community shlichim. After hiking, join other local families for a festive picnic! (Snacks and drinks provided; you are welcome to bring lunch.)
