Triton Student System (TSS) Project:
-
Training preparation is accelerating across campus. Our teams have begun reviewing the 400+ submissions to the TSS Project Content Inventory to support development of updated training and reference materials for the transition to TSS. Departments are encouraged to continue adding resources.
-
Key resources have been updated to support local readiness. The TSS List of Impacted Applications and Major Milestones documents now include additional systems and updated dates, giving units a clearer view of what may change and when as the university transitions from ISIS to TSS. Also, the TSS Project webpage has been updated to better serve as a single point of truth for timely project information with more updates coming soon!
- CourseLeaf Project:
-
The Winter 2026 CourseLeaf Course Approvals Town Hall for Main Campus had 62 users in attendance. Watch the recording of the CourseLeaf town hall to see best practices, tips & tricks and other course approvals information.
-
Financial Support Payments Tool (FSPT) Project:
-
We are celebrating the success of the Stipends module! While there is still work to be done, the tool’s improved efficiencies mean fewer manual interventions by staff and students receiving their stipend disbursements sooner.
-
While FSPT is the new home for most stipend transactions, the Financial Support Request Tool (FSRT) is still required for all fee payments and fee remissions. In case you missed it, learn more from our January FSPT article.
-
uAchieve Transfer Articulation (TA) Project:
-
This month, the team initiated work with the CollegeSource vendor to import degree audit encoding to the uAchieve environment that will be connected to the TSS, helping ensure transfer credit information flows more smoothly into the new system.

There's more to explore! Our Winter 2026 Quarterly Update covers key developments from the past few months across CourseLeaf, TSS, uAchieve TA, and FSPT in four videos, each 6 minutes or less.

Join us in congratulating Katherine Levy as an SIS Trailblazer!
|
|
|
Katherine serves as a MSO in the Institute of Arts & Humanities. She is a member of the CourseLeaf Project advisory committee and a CourseLeaf Ambassador for main campus.
Katherine was recognized by Joana Halnez, Change Practitioner for the SIS Project. Here’s what Joana had to say about Katherine’s work on the CourseLeaf Project:
"(Katherine) actively sends emails to our team to provide information and helpful feedback…Katherine is one of our most active members and ambassadors who we can count on to ask questions and offer suggestions via email and during advisory committee meetings. She is constantly thinking of ways to help clarify information for users like making small changes to the training. Katherine also takes it upon herself to encourage the staff from her department to attend office hours for help and support. Thank you Katherine for all of your help and support!"
You can read Katherine’s full story, and the stories of all of our SIS Trailblazers, on the SIS Trailblazer webpage.

TSS Scheduling Training: Coming Soon!
|
Instructional Scheduling Assistant (ISA) training is currently in development to support faculty and staff as UC San Diego transitions course scheduling into the new TSS.
The training will include self-guided learning resources that explain how course scheduling works in TSS, outline shared scheduling concepts that apply across both main campus and the Division of Extended Studies (DES), and clarify your role in ensuring course schedules are accurate, complete, and aligned with university policy.
After reviewing core concepts, learners will follow a task-based learning path tailored to how they interact with TSS. Supplemental materials will also be available for those who need a deeper dive, including how to submit course change requests, navigating common scheduling scenarios, etc.
More details and access information will be shared as training materials are finalized.

Official Student Messaging is Retiring in SU26 |
| |
Official Student Messaging (OSM) is retiring in Summer 2026 as part of the TSS transition.
MyEmma (Emma) will replace OSM as the new platform for all official student announcements and emails. Emma provides the same features as OSM plus advanced analytics, template saving, personalization, and copy-to-self options.
Until retirement, OSM will not receive any new data for incoming students from TSS and will only contain information on continuing students.
A banner is now live on OSM with details of the upcoming change and the move to Emma.

Get to know the people working behind the SIS Portfolio! Kicking us off are our two newest Change Practitioners on the TSS Project:
|
|
| | Change Practitioner, TSS Project
|
Fun Fact: I lived in Spain for 2 years and started teaching yoga online. I still teach students across Europe every Sunday.
Hobby: I love trying out different crafts and workshops at local businesses. So far, I've really enjoyed making jewelry like rings and having fun with clay!
What do you love about your work? I love to help people navigate change to give them clarity and confidence.

| Andrea Aramburú (she/her)

Change Practitioner, TSS Project
|
Fun Fact: I learn the lyrics to songs really quickly and can sing along to most tunes.
Hobby: In an attempt to find an activity to do together, my husband suggested rock climbing. What started as an after-work work-out turned into an entire lifestyle. We traveled to Utah, Arizona, all over California, Peru and France to climb, with more trips in the works!
What do you love about your work? I love the people and the challenge!
