On Saturday, July 9, at 7:00 p.m., the Department of Campus Safety received a report of an attempted robbery that occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, on East 25th Street and First Avenue, in the Medical Corridor campus.
The victim, an NYU Dental student, reported that they were walking down First Avenue when four unknown individuals walked by. One of the four individuals asked the victim to give him a gold chain and wallet. The victim refused and a scuffle began. The four suspects fled the scene, running north on First Avenue.
Although the victim was struck in the face, no injuries were reported. The victim declined both medical treatment and NYPD.
Description of Suspects: All four suspects were described as male presenting and dark complexioned, wearing hoodies. No additional information is available at this time.
