| Teach English Abroad with LE! Priority Deadline: December 31, 2016
Learning Enterprises participants teach conversation-based English language classes for three to six hours per day (depending on location), with the weekends off. Participants are placed in a host family, create their own lesson plans, and are free to spend their time off as they wish. Volunteers are placed in the following countries: Romania, Thailand, Brazil, China, Crete, Croatia, Hungary & Slovakia, Poland, Panama, Mongolia, and Mauritius.

| Nakatani RIES Fellowship: Research engineering and science in Japan this summer! Deadline: Jan. 12, 2017
The Nakatani RIES Fellowship for U.S. Students connects undergraduate with the best of engineering and science research in Japan through a 13-week, summer research internship program that is open to freshman and sophomore students. The program seeks to cultivate an interest in engineering and science research among young U.S. undergraduate students. The program includes a pre-departure orientation at Rice University, a three-week language and cultural orientation in Japan, and a 9-week research internship at a Japanese university or research institution.

| The Pickering Fellowship: Intern in the U.S. your first summer and then overseas the following summer!
Deadline: January 13, 2017
The Pickering Fellowship is aimed to recruit outstanding individuals from all ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career with the U.S. Department of State. Undergraduate candidates can receive up to $37,500 annually for tuition, room and board, books, mandatory fees, and some travel expenses for the senior year of undergraduate studies and first year of a master's degree in fields related to Foreign Service. Graduate candidates can receive up to $37,500 annually for tuition, room and board, books, mandatory fees, and some travel expenses for a two-year master's degree in fields related to Foreign Services. Other program highlights include two summer internships, one at a domestic office of the Department of State in D.C. and one overseas at a U.S. embassy or consulate. There is also employment opportunities in the Department of state Foreign Service for those who successfully complete the program.

| English Course Teaching Assistant: Live in Austria for a year! Deadline: January 15, 2017
The Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship Program provides college graduates from the US the opportunity to work as secondary school teaching assistants in communities all over Austria. US teaching assistants serve as valuable linguistic models in English classes. Candidates should be talented and enthusiastic so that teaching assistants can make learning a foreign language a lively process for students.
