As we begin a new academic year, the GW Pre-Health Advising is excited to support you on your journey toward a career in the health professions. Whether you're just starting to explore your interests or preparing to apply to professional schools, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Drop-in Pre-Health Advising Resumes August 29, 2025
FRIDAYS in Fall and Spring Semesters (excluding breaks and holidays)
9:30 - 11:30 am ET
Virtual: ZOOM Meeting
In addition to scheduled advising appointments, students planning to pursue a pre-health track can also meet virtually with a pre-health advisor during weekly drop-in hours. Drop-in advising is for quick, pre-health related questions that can be answered in 5-10 minutes. (Not for long topics such as application readiness and academic planning. For longer meetings, please make a 30-minute one-on-one appointment.)

Attendance at an Info Session is REQUIRED before you can begin meeting with Pre-Health Advising for on-on-one appointments. (You do not need to attend more than one Info Session. Content is the same in each session.)
This Info Session is an introduction to being a Pre-Health student at GW and the role of Pre-Health Advising. It is a virtual session. It is best for students who are new to Pre-Health or have never met with Pre-Health Advising.

AMPC Pre-Health Mentorship
Are you interested in Pre-Health mentoring? Do you want guidance connecting with research or clinical opportunities, courses and summer internships, your 4-year plan, or anything Pre-Health? AMPC's Mentor program is a great resource to help you navigate your Pre-Health journey. We match you with an experienced Pre-Health upperclassman with similar concentrations, and they will work with you throughout the year on all things Pre-Health.
We are also looking for Pre-Health upperclassmen interested in being mentors!
Applications are now open for both mentees and mentors. We will have our Mentor mixer on September 15th at the USC 3rd floor terrace from 6-8 pm to allow mentees to meet our mentors.

2025-2026 NursingCAS Application Cycle Now Open!
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is excited to announce that the 2025-2026 NursingCAS Application Cycle is now open! Applicants may now apply to nursing programs that begin in Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027. New programs go live nearly every week, so prospective nursing students are encouraged to check back often to explore all options.
Please note that NursingCAS manages overlapping cycles. The 2024-2025 NursingCAS Application Cycle will remain open through January 29, 2026, for programs that begin in Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Winter 2026, and Spring 2026.
NursingCAS Applicant Help Center: The NursingCAS Applicant Help Center provides step-by-step instructions and answers frequently asked questions.
NursingCAS Customer Service: Customer service is available via chat within the application. Applicants can also contact us by email at mailto:support@nursingcas.myliaison.com or phone at 617-612-2880 (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm ET).

3rd Annual Virtual Career Fair in Neuroscience & Society
The Dana Foundation Career Network in Neuroscience & Society is excited to share that the 3rd Annual Virtual Career Fair is happening Monday, September 8, 2025, from 5:00–9:00 PM ET/ 4:00–8:00 PM CT/ 3:00–7:00 PM MT/ 2:00–6:00 PM PT.
This event offers students and trainees a chance to explore emerging fields like neurolaw, neuroethics, neuroeducation, and more—through live breakout sessions with leading professionals. Last year’s fair drew over 2,000 registrants, and we’re eager to welcome even more voices this year.
