Last Chance to Submit Collegiate Award Nominations
The deadline to submit nominations for Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine awards is Thursday, Jan. 31. The ICSM Awards recognize collegiate athletic trainers who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their setting. Submissions are due by. The categories include: Head Athletic Trainer of the Year (NCAA D1, NCAA D2, NCAA D3, NAIA, Junior College/Community College and Club/Intramural/Recreational Sports), Staff Athletic Trainer of the Year, Above and Beyond Award and New Horizon Award.

Submissions for Student Writing Contest Due Feb. 1
The DeLoss Brubaker, EdD, ATC, Student Writing Contest was created to recognize early research-related projects from emerging investigators at the professional program degree level. The annual competition includes three categories, with an award being given to the top submission in each: Best Original Research Paper ($500), Case Study ($250) and Best Literature Review ($250).

ATEC Registration Extended
If you would like to attend the Athletic Training Educators' Conference, you still have time to sign up as registration has been extended. ATEC provides attendees with a unique and well-rounded experience by offering different model practice sessions, breakouts, peer-to-peer and plenary sessions. Attendees can earn up to 11 CEUs.

Read Capitol Hill Day 2018 Recap and Register for 2019
You can read a brief recap of the 2018 edition of Capitol Hill Day and see the schedule for the 2019 event now. This year’s event is April 2-3 in Washington, D.C. During Capitol Hill Day, attendees have the opportunity to speak directly with legislators and legislative staffers in support of the athletic training profession. Apply for Public Relations and External Marketing Grant
Do you have a great idea of how to affect awareness and support of the athletic training profession at the local, state, district or national level but need resources to help do so? The NATA Public Relations Committee Public Relations and External Marketing Grant is available to individual ATs, state or district associations with the goal of providing financial support and creative resources in the delivery of strategic public relations and marketing initiatives. This could include speaking opportunities, exhibiting or placement of advertisements to name a few.
