L@S GANAS Presents Opportunities
The L@S GANAS Research Fellowship
The L@s GANAS Research Fellowship is a 2-year program that engages students in research-intensive experiences in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, and beyond. As a student participant, a L@s GANAS fellow, you will gain sustained and meaningful exposure to research environments, you will learn about research as a career and be provided with a visible path towards it. You will also be embraced by the UIC research community and introduced to national research communities in your field.

Peer Mentors Needed 
Mentoring con GANAS is one of the many ways Latinx students can get connected and supported at UIC. Through our peer mentoring program first year and transfer Latinx students are paired with advanced Latinx UIC undergraduates before the start of the academic year making Mentoring con GANAS the first opportunity for you to get involved with other Latinx students here at UIC. Important: For priority consideration, apply before February 18, 2018 at 11:59pm. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis after that.

Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (CHEC) Research Fellows Program
If you are interested in a career in biomedical research, health, biology or the healthcare profession as a whole, then this program may fit the bill. Our friends on the West Campus at the UI Cancer Center are looking for dynamic students to participate in the Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (CHEC) Research Fellows Program.
Online application must be submitted by February 28th, 2018 at 11:59 CST.

UIC is honored to be partnering with Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution (AHSIE) for this year's conference. We are offering five ½ day institutes: Project Management, Grantsmanship, Using Data Effectively, HSI 101, and Student Leadership.
