| COVID Reporting Protocol/Form
If someone in your family has symptoms, has been exposed, or is being tested for COVID-19, please inform the School IMMEDIATELY IN WRITING via the COVID-19 Reporting Form linked below. The link is also on the School website.
Upon receipt of this information, Nurse Maben, St M's school nurse, will contact the family. The confidentiality of the diagnosed student or teacher will be maintained. Please keep your child(ren) AT HOME until contacted by Nurse Maben.

Got Lunch?
For those that wish to partake, Hot Lunch with our Yay Lunch vendor begins on Tuesday, September 7.
Ordering opened Thursday, Sept 2, and closes the Saturday before the following week. You may place orders ahead for upcoming weeks.

Picture Day- Middle School Picture Day: Wednesday, Sept. 15
- Lower School Picture Day: Thursday, Sept. 16
School pictures will be ordered online AFTER picture day and the link with ordering instructions will be provided to parents. All students will have a picture taken for the yearbook even if you’re not planning to order photos. Click HERE for pricing info.

Faculty/Staff Update
We are pleased to announce (and extend a warm St M welcome to) our newest Faculty and Staff members and also share updates on those assuming new roles at St M:
- Courtney Brooks is St M’s new third grade teacher.
- Julia Bryan-Diehl joins St. Michael’s as head librarian.
- Erbie Godwin, Middle School Division Assistant, will transition to part-time at St. Michael’s starting in mid-September.
- Deanna Gulick is a kindergarten classroom assistant.
- Tracy Jebo joins St M as a kindergarten classroom assistant.
- Jenn McCauley assumes the role of Lower School technology teacher.
- Nena Meurlin joins St. Michael's as an Admission Associate.
- Arena Toro is assuming the role of Middle School Assistant (or as she says: “junior Erbie Godwin in-training”)

Author Visit/Book Opportunity (Grades K-2)
We’re excited to announce that author and award-winning illustrator Debbie Ridpath Ohi will be visiting St. Michael’s virtually on Thursday, September 9. She will be speaking to our kindergarten, first, and second graders with a presentation on her newly released book, I’m Sorry.
Our local bookshop partner, bbgb, is facilitating her visit and is offering the opportunity to purchase a book signed by Ms. Ohi.
You may purchase autographed books for your child on bbgb's website. At check out, choose ‘school delivery, St. Michael's as the school, and indicate your child's name and teacher.
Please place your order by September 10 to receive your book the following week. You may call bbgb with any questions at 804.353.5675.

Friendly Reminders
- All students should come to school with a water bottle and a snack EVERY day.
- Also, all Middle School students should bring home their tablets/Chromebooks each night, charge them, and return to school with them each day.
- Please label all water bottles, lunch boxes, jackets, and school items with your child's name so that if lost, we can return them to your child.
- Dress your child(ren) for the weather and with sturdy shoes as they will be going outside for learning, lunch, recess, and other school activities.
- Please check under beds and in closets and return any OVERDUE library books from last year!

Extended Day Pick-Up
If your child is using Extended Day after school, pickup is in the Extended Day room located on the lower level of Hubbard Hall next to the Lower School Library.
When in doubt, send a text to our Extended Day cell at 804-584-9667. (Please add this number to your contact lists.)

Visit our spiritwear website HERE to place online orders for St M apparel. Orders deliver to the school and are sent home in backpacks.
Cold weather gear will launch on our website in early October.
