Monthly Newsletter | September 2026

Dear Young Life Family,
From late June through August, 117 kids from across the Greater Puyallup Metro Area packed their bags, loaded onto buses, and headed to camp. What a summer it was!
Camp gave kids the opportunity to step away from the everyday, try new things, build friendships, be known and loved by their leaders, and hear more about who Jesus is.
Behind every camp experience was a community of people who prayed, gave, volunteered, fundraised, and helped make it possible for kids to be there. Thank you for being part of the story and helping make Summer Camp 2026 possible. Continue reading below for a glimpse into what God did this summer!

YoungLives Camp | WFR Creekside
|
From an unforgettable color war to cheering each other on through the ropes courses and racing down the water slides, our teen moms had a blast. Most importantly, camp gifted these ladies the opportunity to hear and experience the truth that Jesus loves them deeply and that they are fully known. And of course, the childcare work crew brought their A-game - ensuring every little one was loved and cared for.

| Young Life High School | Malibu, Canada
|
Our first high school students traveled by bus, ferry, and Malibu Princess with no shortage of adventure. After a challenging start due to border crossing security guidelines, they finally made it to camp and the fun began! With free time on the inner and outer docks, line dancing, and beautiful views, there was something to enjoy around every corner. The most meaningful moments happened during quiet times and cabin time where they slowed down, opened up, and talked about Jesus. It was a week of unforgettable memories and inside jokes they will carry forever.

Young Life High School | WFR Canyon
|
Our second high school group took a road trip to make the best summer memories. Their time at camp was unexpectedly cut short because of wildfires, but those first few days were packed full of Young Life fun. From competitive games of cornhole and diving into the pool to screaming their favorite songs at the top of their lungs, they made the most of every moment. They heard stories about who Jesus is and how much He loves them. They may have came home a little earlier than planned, but the fun and memories continued with them culminating in a Western-themed club and dinner night back in Puyallup!

| WyldLife | Creekside Summer Blast Day
|
When wildfire caused Creekside Camp to be fully canceled, our WyldLife leaders didn’t let that stop the fun! Instead, we turned camp into an unforgettable 15-hour day of adventure: three full club stops plus three more local stops at a water park, trampoline park, and an all-out carnival to end the night. There were endless games and even a few leaders getting pied in the face! Students had the chance to hear the good news of Jesus and how He knows, loves, and cares for them. It may not have been the camp they expected, but it was a day full of memories they won’t forget.

Rising High Schoolers | Malibu, Camp
|
For some of our incoming high school students, the adventure didn’t seem to end, they ended up heading to Malibu Camp! It was a crazy week, coming home with memories from an eventful Pirate Night, intense and packed club games, and falling overboard on the banana boat. The club room was full and our kids experienced the joy that Jesus has invited them into.

Camp Support | Volunteer Opportunity
|
|
|
|
Each summer we look forward to taking buses full of middle school and high school kids to what we fondly call, "The BEST Week of Their Life". It takes months of planning and preparation to ensure that each kid who gets on that bus to camp knows they are seen, prayed over, and have a snack in hand to help them feel loved right from the start.
There are several ways volunteers can provide support to Greater Puyallup Metro Young Life Staff and Leaders:
-
Help at Camp Sign-up Night for High Schoolers on December 14th (Evening)
- Become a Camp Snack Ambassador at Your Church (Springtime)
- Help Fill Camp Snack Bags (Summer)
- Volunteer to Help Send Campers Off (Summer)
