My Experience at 4-H Art Beat
I enjoyed how I learned new stuff and made friends from other countries. Art Beat helps everybody play and helps get others out of their comfort zone. The breakfast was really nice and I liked the food. My favorite part of the art camp was learning to make
prints. -Sam A

Junior Master Gardner (JMG) Program Registration OpenLooking for a free interactive, educational program for your child this summer? If you answered yes, then you’ll want to check out UW-Madison Extension’s Junior Master Gardener (JMG) Program. It is a summer-long gardening/cooking program for youth, ages 8-12 years, that teaches them to “dig in the dirt”, care for plants, cook in the kitchen and eat healthy fruits and vegetables. Beyond gardening and cooking, your child will take field trips in the community, learn about insects and “dirt” from the experts, play fun games, and create lifelong friends (just to name a few.)
Sessions are held twice a month from 4-5:30 pm during the school season (April-May), and then weekly from 1-2:30 pm during the summer season. The JMG season begins April 10 from 4-5:30 pm in the “Garden of Eatin” gardens at UW-Extension (Fond du Lac County Campus, 400 University Drive). A designated parent/guardian is required to accompany youth participants at all sessions. There is no registration fee to attend this program. To register, please contact the UW-Madison Extension Fond du Lac County office at (920) 906-4620. The deadline to register is Friday, April 4.

Adult Leader RaffleThe 4-H Raffle Committee is looking for help with securing donations for the annual raffle. It would be very much appreciated if each club could please acquire at least one raffle prize. Please get raffle prize information to Judy Bertram by Monday, April 7; you can reach her at mandjbertram@gmail.com or by phone at 920-922-9379. Most of our prizes are mailed out to the winners, so certificates/gift cards work out the best. The raffle tickets will be distributed to clubs at the April 30 Adult Leaders Meeting. The raffle drawing will take place at the Adult Leaders Meeting on August 20. This is a primary source of money to build programs for our 4-H youth. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 a ticket and youth will not need to sell as many.
