Integrating Work Location Information into UCPath for AB-119 Compliance
|
As a reminder, UCSD has been working to integrate its work location information into UCPath to ensure compliance with AB-119 regulations.
|

No Changes to Existing Process: The Employee Work Location Tool will remain UCSD's primary source system for employee work location information. The data from this tool will be used to populate the UCPath position location field and job cubicle fields. Please note that any manual input into these fields in UCPath will be overridden by the data entered into the Work Location Tool.
- UCPath Position Record Note: The Employee Work Location listed in the UCPath position record may not always reflect the employee's actual physical work location. This field is specifically used for AB-119 compliance purposes, and in some cases, a check-in location may be listed instead. This is to ensure adherence to AB-119 regulations.

IMPORANT NOTE REGARDING DIRECT RETROS: UCOP is deprecating the Direct Retro (DR) tool in UCPath effective July 1, 2025. Please perform Direct Retros in UCPath for any remaining payroll transactions that will require the use of the Direct Retro tool and have them approved by June 25, 2025.

Local News: Upcoming Projects & More |

July 2025 will mark the launch of the following projects in the UCPath system: Improve Self-Service the Annual UCPath Upgrade, and Expanded Paid Sick Leave Phase 2.
|
- The Improve Self-Service project aims to improve the user experience for both Employee and Manager Self-Service portals in UCPath by leveraging new Fluid functionality. Features of this project include a mobile-friendly layout, accessibility improvements, and modernized benefits enrollment.

The Annual UCPath Upgrade will update the UCPath system from PUM 47 to the latest Oracle PeopleSoft HCM software, PUM 49.
