UMA Rockland Center will close at 2pm, Wednesday, November 26th, and will remain closed until Monday, December 1st. We look forward to seeing you back at URock for classes on Monday!

If you plan to complete your degree this December, be sure to submit your application for graduation form by December 1st. Students completing their program in December 2025, May 2026, or August 2026 are eligible to participate in the May 2026 Commencement Ceremony. To ensure your eligibility and avoid surprises, it is suggested that you meet with your advisor, but remember, it’s ultimately your responsibility to confirm all degree requirements in the UMA catalog.

UMA’s Specter Moose Literary and Art Magazine is currently accepting submissions through December 31st to be featured in Issue #4.
They are accepting writing and visual art of all genres and mediums, whether produced in class or on your own time!

| Rockland Festival of Lights |
Friday, November 28th, is the kick-off to Rockland's Festival of Lights. Santa will be arriving at 12pm via boat at Middle Pier, there will be a ribbon cutting at 12:15pm to officially declare downtown Rockland open for the holidays, and the tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6pm at Mildred Merrill Park. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with your community! Happy holidays URock!

The MEOC has an online application for its services. Dori Leadbetter, advisor with the MEOC, is here at URock Thursdays 10a-2p if you'd like to schedule an in-person appointment. She is also available to meet with students via phone or Zoom. Call 596-6906 to schedule an appointment with Dori. Please reach out if you need help filing your FAFSA.
