Oregon-Toyama 30th Anniversary Commemorative Visit
From July 31 to August 7, a delegation from Toyama prefecture led by Governor Nitta visited Oregon to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Sister-State relationship between Oregon and Toyama. Governor Nitta visited Governor Brown and both Governors signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on economic exchange, personal exchange and human resource development, academic exchange, and tourism. The delegation also toured local businesses and exchanged views with entrepreneurs. Approximately 100 people from both Oregon and Toyama prefectures attended the commemorative reception held on August 2.
