Kresge Library Print Materials Now Available for Pick-Up, Shipping, or Copying!
As part of its phased reopening plan, Kresge Library is now able to offer expanded services and access to collections to the campus.
Print Book Requests
You can now check out circulating physical books from Kresge Library by requesting items using Library OneSearch. Please note that reference materials cannot be checked out.
  1. Search for the book title in Library OneSearch
  2. Select the item from the Library OneSearch results
  3. Sign in with your NetID & Password under Get It
  4. If the item is available for checkout, "Request" will appear under Get It
  5. Click "Request"

Once the library has received your request and pulled the book from the shelf, you will be contacted via email with the following access options:
  • Contactless Pickup in the Kresge Library Entrance - Kresge Library staff will arrange a specific day and pick up window with you. Pick up hours will be scheduled Monday - Friday between 8am-5pm. Items will be packaged with the your name clearly visible and left on a cart in between the two sets of doors at the main entrance. Items will be already checked out to you before you arrive, so simply pick it up from the cart.
  • Interoffice Mail Delivery will be available for Oakland University faculty and staff to have items delivered to your campus office. 
  • USPS Shipping - Kresge Library staff will confirm your preferred mailing address and the item will be shipped in the mail the next business day.
Print Book Chapter & Journal Article Requests
Chapters from print books and articles from print journals owned by Kresge Library can be now be requested via Kresge Library's Copy Service. Copy service was previously only available to faculty and staff, but all students are now welcome to use the service as well.
  1. Login to Interlibrary Loan (ILL) with your NetID and Password (if this is your first time using ILL, register for a free account with your GrizzID number)
  2. Select "Copy Service" under Request
  3. Complete the required item description fields
  4. Click "Submit"
  5. Once Kresge Library staff complete the copy request, you will receive an email that the book chapter or journal article is now avaiable to download in your ILL account.

Medical Library faculty and staff continue to provide services virtually through email, phone, and web conferencing. Visit our Remote Services webpage for more information.
During this phase, access to the building is available for OUWB faculty by appointment only. Please email medref@oakland.edu to request and set-up an appointment.
