The 12th Night reviews are in . . .

"As Rust/Feste begins to croon “Sway with me, stay with me…” into the floor mike, we know we’re not only in good hands but in for a rollicking good time from one of Shakespeare’s most popular and accessible plays." — Bob Keefer, EugeneArtTalk.com

"The original play, written as a pleasant bookend to the Christmas season, reveals Shakespeare at his most festive and frolicsome. Even for a romantic comedy, with its requisite cases of mistaken identity and winking double entendre, it is playful to the point of effervescence, and Rust turns this to his advantage, giving us a dreamy, idealized Cuba that is more Ricky Ricardo than Che Guevara." — Rick Levin, Eugene Weekly
"The band impresses with three original songs, and the salsa-style music drives the transition between scenes, creating a breathless pace that reflects the disorder among the characters." —  Matt Hollander, Cottage Grove Sentinel

" 'If music be the food of love,' writes Shakespeare, 'play on; give me excess of it.' Cottage Theatre seems determined to keep us smiling, singing and up late." —  Richard Leinaweaver, Eugene Register-Guard
12th Night continues for two more weekends
Travel to Havana, Cuba with us for our first production of 2015: Shakespeare's 12th Night. Before you come, check out this plot synopsis, which will give you a sneak preview of the convoluted (and very silly) plot. Director Tony Rust has a knack for making Shakespeare enjoyable even to those of us who find the language intimidating, so don't worry if you're not a Shakespeare buff. The on-stage band, sword fighting, and comic buffoonery will keep you entertained even if you don't understand every word. Our cast is looking forward to serving you at Club 12th Night!
