Hi All,
It was great to see so many clubs and groups represented at the Dodge County 4-H Leaders Association meeting this week. I wanted to highlight a couple of items for everyone:
1. Record Book judging is happening at the county level over the next couple weeks. However, given the excitement of the club awards last year and the challenges of locations and dates, the Leaders Association decided to continue to have the awards presented at the club level along with the adult leader recognition locally as well.
2. Thanks to several 4-H Leaders for sharing their club experiences of an interview style end-of-year reports. They sounded wonderful and very worthwhile to both youth and the leaders. If other clubs would like to learn more about it, feel free to reach out to me and I can put you in contact with club leaders.
3. 4-H Camp Returns! We are planning camp with Area 16 (Dodge, Sauk and Columbia counties) at a new location. As I promised, here is a link to Camp Lakota https://camplakotah.com/ please check out all of the new opportunities this will offer us. We are planning to camp June 14-17 following another Area 4-H camp. The Leaders Association has voted to sponsor a bus to help support 4-H Camp and lower some of the total costs for families.
Remember to check out dates at the end of the Friday Focus on 4-H. We are also working on the 2023 yearly calendar as soon as we have dates from the charter documents for county project meetings and programs.
Have a great week!
