Every Simpson bowl starts out as a ball of fiery glass. What happens next is anyone's guess! Each hand-shaped bowl has its own unique pattern of Corona or New Mexico glass, or sometimes both. Today's collection is among the last work Josh did with the full hotshop crew, pre-quarantine.

One evening last week, Josh and his family spent a few hours admiring the amazing NEOWISE comet. Father and son competed to take the best photo. Jamey won: here's his beautiful photo! 
NEOWISE should be visible, weather permitting, until the end of July. And, speaking of transitory things, we are sad to announce that Josh's talented 6-year hotshop assistant, Jay Brown, has left the studio to start a new adventure. We miss him!
